A custom robot is not bought off a shelf — it is developed. Knowing the lifecycle in advance turns a daunting project into a series of clear, low-risk milestones.
The distance between "we need a robot that does X" and a dependable deployed fleet feels large — but it is well-trodden. A good manufacturer runs it as a transparent, milestone-based process so you always know what happens next and what each stage will cost. Here is the five-stage lifecycle we use.
1. Discover
We translate your scenario, constraints, environment and target cost into a written requirement brief. This is where honest feasibility lives: what is worth automating, what isn't, and what success will be measured against. Getting this right prevents expensive surprises later.
2. Design
Industrial design, technical specification and a bill of materials turn the brief into a buildable robot, alongside a fixed, itemised quotation. You approve the design and the price before committing to a build — no moving targets.
3. Prototype
We build and test a functional prototype, then iterate with you against the agreed acceptance criteria. This is the stage that de-risks everything downstream: you see and test the real robot in your context before production tooling begins.
4. Manufacture
A pilot batch validates production, then we scale on our own line with full QC and traceability, plus the certification support your market needs. Because hardware and base software are built in-house, quality issues have one owner, not a chain of suppliers.
5. Deliver & support
Export, deployment, training, remote diagnostics and spare parts turn a delivery into a long-term partnership. With an open API and SDK, your fleet keeps evolving after go-live rather than freezing at version one.
De-risking the journey
Two habits keep custom projects on track: pilot before you scale, and keep the platform open so new needs are additions, not replacements. Together they protect both the initial investment and everything you build on it.
